Q Instructions During this course, you will work on four related assignments about a specific company. You will choose that company this week, so be sure to pick one that interests you. In the related assignment in Module 5, you will submit a list of all sources that you have used throughout the course on these assignments, so be sure to keep track of them. For this week's assignment you will first choose a company that you would like to research throughout the course. The company you select must have an SEC 10-K report for the current or most recent prior year. Then, you will address the following three aspects of your company in a short paper: 1. Provide the company name and the reason you are interested in exploring this company; you will also include reference to the company's SEC 10-K Report. 2. Provide a brief description of the company, including: 1. What do they make? 2. Where are they headquartered? 3. In what state are they chartered? 3. Note at least two areas of opportunity that exist for your company and explain the opportunities (this can often be found in the SEC 10-K). You do not need to use opportunities noted in the SEC 10-K. You can be creative with this part of the assignment and explore areas of opportunity that you see in the future for the company. Requirements This paper should meet the following requirements: • It should be double-spaced, use 12-point Times New Roman font, be 375-500 words when complete, and use APA style for citations and references. • You will need to use two different scholarly/relevant sources for this assignment (you will need two scholarly sources for each of the company research assignments, this will end up being a total of eight scholarly sources for all four assignment papers). • For this assignment, you can use the SEC 10-K as one of your sources; this means that you will only have to locate only one other source. • Refer to the Tips for the Company Research Assignment document in this module's resources. • For tutoring help with this assignment, you can contact NLU's Learning Support team at learn@nl.edu.
